Why is it most disabled loos are just average height? After hip replacements, you get told to have a loo seat raiser, or one of those frames that go over the toilet. Its all very well disabled loos having pull down grab rails but they're not much good when you have weak arthritic upper limbs and a stiff hip.
I seized my opportunity to air my views today at my local hospital. The supervisor was inspecting the state of the room and writing down her observations, so she agreed to include mine above. She said the loo is the right height for wheelchair users to transfer, but she'd suggest a raised seat or frame be made available too.
